Girls in Gis events are designed to bring together the community and encourage new participants to embark on their Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey. Our events are free of charge. All events are hosted, instructed, and attended only by females.Women and girls of all ages and skill levels are welcome to attend regardless of academy affiliation.
We welcome beginners and don’t require any experience.Our events are designed for 100% participation. However, we do allow female chaperon and parents to accompany participants as spectators. Our hope is that once they see how much fun BJJ is, they will be inspired to participate too. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us girlsingis@gmail.com
Our events are free in order to provide equal opportunity to everyone. However, we need your help to expand and keep growing. You can make a donation to help Girls in Gis grow online during registration or at the door. Donations are not required, but greatly appreciated. You can also place a free order with a purchase of a GIG tshirt, patches and more GIG merchandise. All order can be picked up during the event.

About GIG:
Girls in Gis is an organization dedicated to building and strengthening the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu community for females and as a whole. We provide an experience that fosters the community of females in the art/sport while encouraging new females to participate. Thereby increasing the presence of females in a primary male dominated sport/art and paving the way to equality and change. By coming together through our events we are growing the sport and art for females everywhere. Our goal is to empower and unite females in their martial arts training as well as in life.
“Strength in Solidarity” is our motto and it means that together we can accomplish more than we can alone.Whether it is inspiring the next generation for females in the art and sport, earning respect as athletes, instructors and achieves equality in a male dominated sport or unifying the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu community as a whole.
